Google, an internet giant, which is nearly in every field related to Web, has finally taken control of AdMob; AdMob is a mobile advertising platform. The acquisition deals was announced by Google six months before only, but it was delayed because of Federal Trade Commission (FTC). But now FTC has approved the deal so there is no hurdle in Google’s path to utilise AdMob.

Google can easily utilize it against Apple to gain more popularity and market share as iPhone also released iAds, which is a direct competitor to Google and AdMob. Seems Google is all ready to beat them as it is planning to quickly appoint a new integration team and integrate AdMob technology to their advertising services like Adsense, AdWords to gain an upper edge in mobile advertising.

Just as Google dominates Web advertising through AdSense and AdWords it has similar plans to dominate mobile advertising in coming two-three years, it will be clear who will be the leader in mobile advertising Google or Apple?

Infolinks is that text advertising company, which really worked for me. It was the first advertising company, which paid me a good amount of money, after Adbrite. Before, signing up for it I gave a try to Kontera text advertising too, but after one month I was really pissed off, it sucks big time. The worst thing about Kontera was if you make less than $5 a month they will take your money, but Infolinks was not like that. It has all qualities that a good ad network should have, but the thing of reaching minimum threshold of amount $100 I didn’t like (who likes to wait to reach 100$ ).

Today when I signed in my Gmail account got an email by Infolinks that they have reduced the minimum amount to checkout from 100$ to 50$ for all publisher using Payoneer or Paypal. But they due to the high processing fees involved with Bank wires and regular ACH – the payment threshold for payments via Bank Wire or regular ACH will be increased to $400 for sometime. I think it is good for all publishers having Payapal account as now they can easily checkout their money.

Hi guys, this is Prateek Makhija this side. I am new contributor of Extreme Trix. I’m sure that most of the readers of Extreme Trix would be familiar with the best micro-blogging service Twitter and some of the users may be also using it in their daily life as it is good for marketing. A blogger or a web-designer can easily promote his site and even can make few bucks from it (check this article posted by Ankit if you are interested in making money from Twitter right posting from your site only.), if used in a right way. I don’t get too much time to come online so I have registered on Google Updates which automatically emails me about the latest information on that Technology & Tricks.

Today I got a great news from Official Japanese blog of Twitter for all those who are using Twitter as a marketing tool to promote their site/service that they are soon going to launch paid corporate accounts, according to co-founder and CEO Biz Stone. While speaking at an event in London, Stone said Twitter plans to charge for corporate accounts, and in exchange, would offer enhanced features and analytics in return.

Digital Garage, Inc, their official partner from Japan misunderstood the actual plans of Twitter service and made a statement about the recent press coverage about Twitter service in Japan as below:

In response to media reports stating that Twitter Japan will be launching a paid-premium accounts service on Twitter, we would like to officially state that this is not correct. To be clear, Twitter service in Japan is a free service and neither Twitter Inc. nor Digital Garage, Inc. (JASDAQ code: 4819, headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan, CEO: Kaoru Hayashi, henceforth DG) have discussed or have any plans for paid-premium accounts. Also to clarify, Twitter Inc. and DG enjoy a commercial partnership but do not have a joint-venture arrangement in Japan.

The recent media reports are likely a result of a misunderstood presentation by a DG subsidiary, DG Mobile, about potential business opportunities that it could explore as a third party. DG Mobile’s presentation was unrelated and separate from the Twitter and Digital Garage partnership.

Digital Garage apologized (by DG Mobile) to mislead and took time for correction on the release. I think what Twtter wants to do and what DG wants to do in Japan are not the same, and DG uses its subsidiaries to chase more original activities. It has been more than a month since I have written any tip for new bloggers, so today in this post I am going to write some common, but effective tips to monetize a blog or website. If your blog or website is new, then I will recommend you not to use any advertisement for at least a month because putting advertisements might make your visitors feel that you blog only for money. You can start monetizing your blog after a month or two. Here are some tips to monetize your blog -

• Find a most clicked area – Before putting any advertisement in your blog, first find a most clicked area, to find it, place a small badge or image (the badge should be attractive and should match your theme) with analytic code (to track number of clicks) in your sidebar. After a week or two check your analytics and if you find 100+ numbers of click, then this means you can easily make money by putting an affiliate ad there. There are varieties of affiliate ad networks, you can choose according to your niche, here on Extreme Trix we are using HostGator and WidgetBucks affiliate program.
• Advertisement between posts – You can earn a good amount of money by blending Google Adsense,  AdBrite, Chitika or WidgetBucks advertisements in between the – post. If you are using WordPress (self hosted) as your blogging platform, then can easily show advertisements wherever you want on your blog using Advertising Manager plug-in (which is one of the top-10 WordPress plug-ins).
• In-line advertisements – If you get 5000+ daily page views on blog, then In-line advertisements are best way to make money. Here on Extrene Trix we have tried Kontera, AdBrite in-line and currently I am using Infolinks.
